Does what is should do as a mic stand but, poor quality means it won't last longer than a couple of months. Even without heavy use these stands are very fragile, with the plastic clamp almost always the first thing to go.

Good Microphone Stand

This stand is quite good and has a big range of length and height, so it can be adjusted for use for various things: regular singing, singing while playing piano and recording drums. It is quite cheap and so wobbles without much force, but it doesn't fall over. I would recommend this because it does what it is designed to do at a reasonable price.

You can mount 2 mics on this stand. Great and usefull.

Very easy to use and cheap

Great value for the price! Everything is easy to do - the grip, the tightening mechanism, the floor-grip. Definitely a better stand than the classic (and more expensive) round silver ones. I can definitely recommend it.

Nice quality, and easily put together.

The three balancing legs come as one unit and fasten to the upright stand by use of a large plastic knobbed pin. The upright stand fastens to the reach out bar by the use of a large plastic knobbed pin, used to stop it from turning from left to right and a tommy-barred locking pin used to allow the reachout arm to be positioned at any angle and at speed.

I have not rated the stability as highly as the other parts as I am not sure just how stable it is. I beleive it to be very good. Without a microphopne in it the stand easily copes with its own weight, but I have just brought a Tyrso 4 and have placed the stand and microphone at the side of it. This requires the stand to be at its maximum horizontal extension to reach me, plus I have a Shure microphone slotted into the holder on the top. This microphone is very heavy, and at the full extent of horizontal reach tends to over balance. It is only kept from falling over when the back leg meets the underneath of the writing desk. If I could move the microphone closer I can not see it causing me any problems. Used as a singing microphone it should perfect. The microphone holder at the top holds the microphone by slotting it in place and a resitance joint allows the microphone to be easily adjusted upwards or downwards.

Boom joint is bad.

After some time the fulcrum (rotation point, where boom connects to the stand) fell apart (i.e. just broke). Some time = some weeks. So, better spend a few more euros and buy a better one.

Easy to hande. I like this one. I have seen a lot of broken these though.

These stands are ok if you are on a tight budget but i would urge you to spend the extra little but of money and get a heavier stand such as the dearer millenium or k&m ones.

Great!

Great mic stand! Extremely sturdy and very easy to adjust. I really liked the option of being able to put two microphones on the stand, this is great for vocals and acoustic guitar, or for putting to drum mics on a kit using just one stand! Great stand and I would recommend it to anybody!

You get what you pay for!

This is a very cheap product BUT it does compare to a lot of the more expensive brands. At close to €10 it's difficult to go wrong.

It is very suitable for studio or live usage but don't expect it to last you years. I've bought many of these and a couple have broken.

Despite the rather poor build quality I will be buying more of these.

Good but be careful!

This is one of the cheapest stands you can buy, and with that in mind, you cant expect miracles. What you can expect is an okay microphone stand that will work well if you treat it with care.

It can be extended fairly high and its boom arm reaches quite far, although it doesn't weight very much and will need some balancing if putting a heavy microphone on it.

The locking mechanism for the boom arm is a little flimsy, and will break if over tightened.

Conclusion:

If you don't over tighten the parts, don't need it to be extended it to its highest and furthest point possible, and use a relatively heavy microphone, this mic stand will do well for you.

Basic mic stand, value for money

This is a decent mic stand for the money. Nothing too fancy here, but you wouldn't expect it either. It's sturdy enough for band practice use, even for occasional gigging. Overall, good value for money.

Brilliant value for money

Mic stands are the unglamourous, easily broken bane of the gigging musicians life. I bought one of these in desperation as my bass player kept breaking my more upmarket stands.

I only wish I'd bought these sooner!!

It's absolutely great! Works exactly as it should, no silly design flaws or weak spots, I love the boom design ,it can contract small enough to work great for drum vocals.

A well made, good quality bit of kit that has outlasted much more expensive options.

Could be better

This is a very cheap stand and I was wondering what the quality will be like when I get it. It wasn't so good - not so bad but I thought I would get better quality.

The adjusting mechanism is very bad and it doesn't always work, the stand isn't very stable. But this is a very cheap stand - you don't get the best quality on cheap, of course!

Millenium MS-2005

Although it weighs little, it might appear as flimsy. Admittedly, due to its light weight, the boom part of the stand does tend to 'keel over' when left overnight with the microphone in it; in other words, the weight of the microphone makes the boom return parallel with the main stand. Other than that, it is a functional piece of equipment. After all, I use it in both rehearsal and during recordings and it definitely serves its purpose.

Hyvä perusständi, melko tukeva ja monikäyttöinen edullisesta hinnasta huolimatta. Soveltuu ehkä parhaiten laulajan ständiksi, koska ääriasetuksilla ei kaikista tukevin tasapaino säily. Ständin mukana tulee varoitus ständin jalkojen kumisten suojien mahdollisistä lattian värjääntymisestä. Itse en ole vielä tälläistä huomannut.

Very good

For this price, this is the best mic stand. 2 in 1 locking mechanism to adjust extension arm and, although the locking is plastic, it feels solid. Just a really well constructed (aluminium frame , i assume) and cheap stand.
