This stand is ok. It´s not the best I have tried but it´s good value for the money in my opinion. It reaches 155cm over the floor if you extend it as a staight stand and the boom is 72cm. There are two standard nuts and an adapter for a wider type of attachment that you can fasten to any of the two, so it wont get lost. The base could have been a little heavier. There is no stop in the telescope rod so if you losen the tightening sleeve and pull the rod all the way up, it separates from the base. No big deal. Just put it back again and your good to go.

Great value

I bought this as part of the sm58 bundle, what a deal! you almost get the the stand and lead for free! It is lightweight easy to use. Robust enough to be thrown up and down every week..... and most importantly no droopy mics... Have been using it for 3 months and I have no reason to think that it will not last as long as any of the dearer heavier mic stands.

exceptional value!

i bought 3 of these stand and i must say they surpassed my expectations! these stands are more versatile than most, due to the extra bolt before where the wheel locking system is an extra mic can be added, this was incredibly useful for mid/side micing meaning i didnt have to use a second stand!

The arm extension is what you'd expect from any stand this side, but the locking system meant even at full extension the stand didnt sag or drop.

It's okay...

This ticks a number of boxes quite well e.g.

This particular model of mic stand isn't the most robust however. Treat it gently and it will serve you well.

Really good item for it's price.

I bought it to se mostly for home use. As I don't have a lot of space at my house, I really wanted so that this stand would not take a lot of space.

It's pretty compact, you can easily minimise it. Attaching the mic is pretty easy too. The only thing it really lacked was the instruction, so it was a bit confusing at first. Moreover, I couldn't find any instructions for this device on the internet, which was a bit disappointing.

So, in case you never saw how do all of the parts of the stand should be combined (like I was) it may be a bit confusing for you to compile it.

Do the trick

These are OK stands, if you treat them well they'll last a fair while but I find after time the boom starts drooping etc. but for the price you can't argue!

Easy to use, poor quality

I've owned several millenium mic stands over the years and, though the quality has gotten better in the later reincarnations, they still aren't great.

However, if you're very careful with them, they'll last for a failry long while and for the price, you really can't beat them!

These stand are inexpensive and do the job. Fine for hime studio use. But for heavy stage use I would recommend spending a bit more to get a stand that will last longer. That said these are fine value for the money

Does what it has to do.

There isn't really much that I can say about this mic stand - build quality aside a mic stand is a mic stand is a mic stand. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see how sturdy this was when it came to actual use! When I took it out of the box it looked a little less robust that I was expecting but by fears where soon laid to rest when I got it set up!

As soon as I put it into live use it became apparent that this is a well constructed, durable stand. There are no superfluous bells and whistles but it stays up, stays tight and stays in place.

Absolutely great.

Maybe try a more expensive stand

I've owned three of these, and only one of them is still usable. I had them for rehearsal use and a very rare gig, and they just weren't reliable.

We showed up to play a birthday party with two of them, and one of them literally fell apart. And I must add, I'm quite gentle with my gear - so I don't know what would happen if you treat your gear roughly.

The one which remains has had very little use, to be honest I'm half afraid to use it.

It seems a great option for us people on a low budget, but really spend a bit extra and go for a more expensive one. It'll be worth it. I've to buy completely new ones so if anything it's cost me more money by buying these.

sturdy stand

These are great mic stands for the price. We have found them to be sturdy and reliable . The get a lot of abuse being thrown into car boots everynight but they still stay together well!, highly recommended!

millenium stand

hello. i bought this stand about over year ago and i still have it. it is good quality stand for good price is well. does not look profesional but i am happy. the colour is still black and all mechanical parts still working fine.i use this stand on the gigs ia well and never had a problem with it.

Not bad considering the price im happy with its lightweight and sturdy frame :)

Mic Stand

I bought this because we had some at the Studio I work at, and they had survived some heavy use, and outlasted several other brands. The brackets seem to be made of high impact plastic, but it's standing up to the usual wear & tear ok, and it has the useful feature of an extra threaded mounting at the top of the stem (as well as the boom). We just use a couple of these for local gigs, but you might want to spend a bit more money if you're going to throw a dozen of them on top of each other in the back of a Van.

Sturdy, well-built and great value.

You do not need to look for another mic stand. Don't even bother.

Over the years I've had the mic stands with the round heavy bottoms (like most of the girls in the pubs I played in), straight 3-legged mic stands and booms.

Most booms fail. It's a fact of life. They get to a point where you just can't tighten them enough to stop mic-boom-droop and then half-way through a gig you'll be playing guitar and singing only to find yourself bending your knees more and more through the song as the boom slowly gives way.

I've not experienced that problem with this stand since I bought it in 2007 - it's 2014 now(!). Are there "better" stands out there? Well, I guess there are, there's certainly heavier ones out there, but I've come to the conclusion that heavy doesn't necessarily equate to sturdy, and heavy definitely doesn't equate to helping your back at the end of the night when you have to pack up.

I've used this stand when playing guitar and singing backing vocals and for that it's superb. A boom mic when playing guitar and singing is a must over a straight stand. Makes the whole process so much easier. Plus, it means you can put your stand's feet around the floor monitor and then adjust the boom to fit where you're standing instead of moving the monitor around the straight stand.

There's not a lot more to say really other than after 7 years of wear and tear it's still going strong, doesn't droop and packs away nicely and is light to boot.

Highly recommended.

Bargain!

This may not be the very best stand you can purchase but certainly one which is worth every penny! It works well in studio (where you will be needing more than a dozen) and quite good as well for live gigs.

not very good stand

Not very good stand. I use them now for very light microphones for low positioning. They are very light and the base it's not very wide so it makes some problems of stability. If you have light microphones that's perfect, because it's easy to carry, but don't use it for large diagram microphones, it's too much for it!

worst. piece. of. crap. ever.

This broke the FIRST time we used it. The same thing happened with three different ones of said product. Note that we know how to handle equipment with care. DON'T buy this, If I could rate minus 100 stars I would probably do it. Waste of earths resources!!!

Good working stand

Many thanks' stand work's well - had no problems - all screws looks like have a good life time - they strong
