Okay for some uses.

This stand is alright for holding lighter microphones like your average dynamic mic (e. g. Shure sm57) but anything heavier massively limits its positioning and thus will affect where you can use it. Decent for live use with a regular dynamic microphone though.

Good stand

It's a good stand overall. Lacks a little bit of stability when a 'too heavy' mic is placed on it but it's no big deal. For the price, it's a good buy I'd say

Solid

A solid cheapie stand that, despite the low price, dows its job admirably. Wouldn't really recommend for live use as it may not be stable and durable enough, but it's definitely good for recording purposes.

Great Stand - Low price !

I purchased this Microphone stand as part of a bundle with a t-bone microphone. It worked out at a very cheap price and I felt that the stand would be a requirement for my home studio use.

The stand arrived fairly quickly after order, It was easy enough to set up. Build quality of the stand does seem high, it is made of sturdy metal. On the legs of the stand there is also rubber grips, this helps the stand to stop sliding around if put on a wooden floor.

The stand is easy to customise to your appropriate height/angle depending on how you want to use it.

Over-all I rate this stand highly and have purchased more than one. I would recommend this product. 10/10

Solid Stand

Decent budget mic stand that served me well until I upgraded to some K&M stands. Ok with smaller dynamics or pencil condensers but didn't want to risk the large valve ccondensers on it.

Bad one.

Right out of the box it was flimsy, the pivot piece broke apart from the nut that secured it after a few weeks.

If you want a good stand look for one entirely made out of metal or something better than just plastic for the pivot.

The rest is fine, no problem, quite robust in all other areas, but that critical piece breaking so early constituted a big downside and I was forced to glue the piece fixed on one position.

Do not buy!!

This is a bad quality mike stand! I bought 3 of these originally but the circular support in the middle which adjusts the angle of boom part will break on you after around 6 months which is a waste of 10euro if you ask me!!! Don't buy one! avoid at all costs!

Doesn't last long

I have used these stands for the last year on a small number of events. The metal clamp that holds the boom arm in place started to fail on every single stand after only a minimal amount of use. OK for long term use in one place. Once you start repeatedly tightening and loosening the clamps they begin to break. I wouldn't buy them again. Next time I'll spend the extra cash on higher quality stands.

good stands

i bought several of these for band rehearsals and some small gigs, and i was impressed. they are not the sturdiest and would not rely on them for playing every night or few nights, but for having a jam or just practicing and small gigs,maybe even as back up mics, they are definitely worth a go.

Cheap and ok

Bought a few o them to record guitars and drums. Works fairly good and does what they're meant to do. Be careful though when tightening the knobs to adjust the position. One of my stands broke and fell apart. After that I've been more careful and the other ones are doing fine.

Light and adjustable

Light but quite nice stand with unusual boom solution. Many adjusting options, excellent for rehearses. It could carry bigger condenser microphone, but the

best is for dynamic or small diaphragm mics.

Good while they lasted

I had these microphone stands for about a year before they both got broken. I thought these were great for the price, very sturdy and lightweight, but I think over time they were maybe tightened a bit much and the locking mechanism snapped in half. The locking mechanism was made of a pretty soft plastic so I think I should have been a bit gentle with them. I'll certainly know next time.

good quality stand

I bought this stand for recording live, its great value, it is a bit light but still sturdy in its construction, it can be adjusted like other stands and still has the same features of much more expensive stands

i'm not very happy

The stand is stable, usable and nice. But with time, the screww betwen the two part got losse. So its unnusable now.

For its cheap price is perfect and i will not complain. But keep in mind it may not last forever.

Not for the heavy ones

I bought this since I needed a new stand. It is sturdy if the mic is not to heavy, otherwise it will knock it over. The adjustability was not very good; I tried to tighten the mid one, it broke and created a straight stand. The other part is in the garbage.

The quality is a bit poor, but works fine at my basement studio. If you are in need for an okay stand for a little money. Works fine with smaller mics (cheap dynamic)

Good stand for home use

I bought this stand to use with a T.Bone large-diaphragm condenser microphone. It's good, but it's also very cheap, which is noticeable in the build quality. However, if you just need a basic stand for your microphone at home, then this is good enough. It isn't going to last very long in a touring situation, but is good for home use.

Functional

I need to have a microphone held still at the height and angle I want. Once set up, it'll stay in position until I need to move it again.

This is probably a good use of it. I have some doubts about the boom/upright locking mechanism as it is plastic plates with a rubbery/neoprene-y ring held under compression. I'd imagine this is the weak spot, and indeed other reviewers allude to this. For me, this is for mic'ing cabs. The option allowed by the additional screw mount atop the upright is used for a room mic when playing about at home.

Overall then, I have doubts about the longevity of the boom clamp, but no doubt at all that it is a bargain stand for the penurious, has some flexibility, is very stable, is quick to set up ( careful about tensioning! ) and tear down and if I ever learn to sing in key/at all/ not flat etc, or take to stage announcement, I'll buy another. I look after kit.

EDIT:

The clamp longevity issue reared its head. I was using the stand, doing some backing vocals ( in key ! ) when I knocked the stand over. Yup, clamp snapped. It's still holding together, but for how long I don't know. I'll just replace the clamp with a stronger one and get on with it.

Love these stands. They are excellent value for money. I gig full time & the 3 of us use these stands. They are durable and sturdy. Get a bit of abuse between being thrown in and out of the van etc. but are still flying it because of the boom. Previous stands have broken because of the boom nut breaking but not the case with these.

Come highly recommended!

You get what you play for.

It broke,.. after a week of having it. Oh well. If you're planning on buying it just be careful not to tighten it too hard because it's going to snap. It kept slipping so i decided to tighten it but I guess I over did it.

Duct tape fixed the problem lol

Edit: Over a year later and duct tape still holding it up together.

Good budget stand

I bought two of these stands and am pleased with them. They are quite sturdy when up. However, they can take a bit of work to get to the correct position and some times they loosen due to stage vibrations etc.
