Shure SM 7 B Reviews
Very good
Really useful and great Mic. But don't forget to buy a cloudlifter.
This is great microphone
The Shure SM7B is beloved by professional musicians for its reliable performance, top-grade construction, and noise attenuating technology that lends itself to clear recordings. This isn’t a mic for those making their first foray into recording, rather it’s for aspiring professionals and industry veterans. The uniform frequency response is excellent for all ranges of recording, and the alternative responses are fitting for other studio needs.

Legendary sound hidden in high quality body
Built like a tank
The mic feels indestructible. Everyone has one for a reasons, it sounds great. It can sound a bit "dirty" or "bassy" but that's just up to personal preferece.
Shure SM 7 B
What is there to say?
It works for everything!!
Great Mic
Don't think I will be upgrading for a while, probs need to save up for a Neumann U87 or U67, but that's gonna be a long ways off.
the best microphone ever
this is mabye one of the best microphones on the marcet. i bought this as my seccond microphone ever. im so happy that i bought it, i loved the sound i got after taking some time with the eq. and the build quality is great, without the shock mount it does not picup the bumping soundt from a table or from the boomarm.
more spesific
the sound you hear on radio or podcast, is not the sound that comes out of the box. if some one on youtube or any website says that the sm7b has a bad sound, they are wrong. becouse then they dint touch the eq or they dint buy the rigt audio interface. and they just lost the main pourpuse of the sm7b, because every big podcaster, streamer, radio use eq to get the perfect sound. but the shure sm7b needs a lot of gain, and if you lift up the gain with a cloud lifter you are doing it wrong because its making a bacround hizz. so if youre going to buy this mic, buy the rigt audio interface with it. most of the sound is in the aoudio interface, i cant say this too much. its a mic many peple can use for everythin like podcast, radio, streaming and singing. absolutly everyone can fall in love with this mic. you just need to ind your need for it.
The best streaming/podcast microphone
I do not think there is something I can say that hasn't already been said by someone else about this out-of-the-world microphone. It is everything that the hype makes it out to be. Its only downside would be it is price. But then again, you get what you pay for. 0 regrets.
Superb
Superb, everything about it from build to sound.
I used it for my vocal recording around a year ago. It has excellent sound, amazing quality and is quite weighty when held in your hand. So far, everything worked well!
Excellent mic
It a little expensive and hard to drive. But this microphone has good reputation for a reason. Very good sound quality and isolation.
Excelent Mic
Bought this for my youtube channel and it works great. This together with the focusrite and the pre-amp works wonders
A solid recommendation
Easy to setup, beautiful quality, sounds amazing, enough said.
Just as expected
Great sound. Pretty heavy and well made, I'm not afraid for the transportation. Maybe a preamp or a better audio card (I have UR 22 mk2) with higher input level would be a great addition to this mic, still not having any hissing sounds or any troubles at all with level set on max. Not much to say about features - there are none but let's be honest if you buy this microphone you don't need any other sound patterns.
BUT!
Don't expect the sound quality go sky high if you have a lower priced mic - I had my AKG P120. For multimedia tasks or even some youtube videos it would be more than enough or Presonus PD-70 if you're looking for dynamic mic. This mic just gives you more options for sound processing and other things such as scream vocals. Don't waste money on this one if you are a youtuber or streamer
Love this microphone
Bought this after using one in a professional studio.
I had heard good reviews about it as a hind studio microphone too.
Gas not disappointed, using it for vocals has been great and it’s also been a good versatile microphone for guitars and percussion.
Very happy with it!!!
Perfect for screams, great for cleans
This microphone sounds absolutely stunning. I hear virtually no room reverberation even in an untreated room. The SM7B is definitely not as detailed as a large condenser, but that is beneficial for me. I have primarily tracked screams with it, to great results. Doing clean vocals is absolutely viable, but I'm personally not a great singer. I find that very little EQ and compression are necessary, the sound of the microphone is consistent (volume-wise).
One word of advice, some people demonstrate the microphone can be used without a pop filter. While this is possible, a pop filter will get you far closer to the desired results, without the help of VSTs.
There is a reason you see this mic everywhere.
See title :D
But seriously, very good, amazing quality!
(not 48V be aware of that)
Classic for a reason
It's a classic and with good reason.
Works for so many applications, be it podcast, singing, VO.
Absolutely essential
Great buy - Amazingly Versatile Vocal Mic
Have used the mic with a range of preamps, cheap and expensive with vocalists recording intimate close mic vibes to belting divas - this mic nailed it every time, very useful versatile vocal mic..
it's perfect
I love how it sounds crispy and at the same clean, it punches perfectly way more than other mics, i'd suggest it for more pop/trap music but also modern genres
