Best budget mic.

I bought this mic to record a couple of instruments and also use it for talking in online calls. This mic looks and feels amazing. It is not heavy at all and it can be attached to a boom arm very easily. There is also additional software that can improve the quality of the mic by tweaking some eq settings to what fits you best. Did not regret this purchase at all and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality mic at this price range.

Best Buy for something below 100 bucks

I've been using it with a Behringer U-Phoria UM2 and i'm totally satisfied!

This classic mic can’t be beaten at the price

This mic is a classic the gives great quality voice or instrument recording with a low noise floor.

An understated big hitter

A great mic for under £100? yeah right!

But actually, it really is a GREAT mic.

Does the job brilliantly, and do remember that great adio also comes from great acoustic treatment of a room, so there is no reason why this AT2020 when coupled with a correctly treated room cannot compete with the mics costing thousands of punds more.

I work in a school music dept and we have bought plenty of these. They are the perfect balance of quality, cost and durability.

Honestly, if they stand up to several years life in a busy school music department, you will never, ever break one in normal use at home or in a studio where you actually look after kit rather than tripping over it and throwing it at each other. The build quality is great and the sound is great, we have a set of four paired with an Octopre and they are really clean sounding and versatile.

Also great for ambient mics for streaming, wide ambient mics for choirs and orchestral performances.

Perfect Choice

I use this microphone for recording vocals, acoustic guitar. In general, I am doing a full recording of the song with the help of . Everything sounds very clean.

Great mic with good sensetivity

A pretty cheap microphone that has a solid build quality but also sound quality.

It lacks any function on the microphone but it does not need it since you connect it through XLR and will need an external phantom interface with it.

The mic is quite sensetive so it will pick up your keyboard easily, but with a noisegate or RTX voice it will not pick it up as easily when playing a game etc.

I'd recomend this mic to podcasters but also gamers if they are willing to spend time to setup their audio.

Actually a very sturdy and decent microphone for its price. Although lacking in features as many other higher priced microphones have. Sound quality is not the best, but for the price does the job that it is required to do, many recordings need mixing. Sometimes picks up too much background noise, you have to play with input loudness. Overall very well-built microphone, maybe better for streaming or broadcast purposes but can also be used in recording mumble rap vocals. Would not recommend for pop music recording though.

Good for Live Vocals with Acoustic Guitar

I've used this mike live for picking up my acoustic guitar and backing vocals. It does need a phantom power supply from a mixer.

I use this mic to record vocals and for work meetings. The vocals are recorded clearly and I get many comments in work about the clarity of my audio compared to everyone else! A solidly built mic with great sound, recommended.

Best mic for the money

That mic is so versatile ! Sounds pretty professional for it’s cheapness. I would recommend that mic as a first condenser for beginners and intermediate engineers. Was super surprised by the case that comes with the mic !

Best mic in the price range

We purchased an AT2020 as a backup mic for our audiobook recordings. After testing it along with more expensive and better rated mics, we found it perfect, not only as a backup one but actually as our main mic. It has a very balanced range and a warm soft sound. For our second studio, we will definitely go with this mic as the main one.

Bang for the buck

Did you know all vocals on Billie Eilish's ep 'Don't Smile At Me' were recorded with this mic? The mic sounds great on vocal, acoustic guitars and even as a drum room/kit mic! Nice and sturdy and definitely great for its price range.

its a very decent mic for entry level stuff. it peaks a bit at the high range but over all quite good to start with.

Unreal Quality

I have used this on main vocals and also as an overhead on drums. The result is way more then i expected.

The clarity with this so good it made me hear things i never heard before with a regular microphone.

There is no pro or con with this. if you are looking for a microphone to have at hand then go for this one.

The 2020 is a really good starter microphone

its so good Billie Eilish's vocals for “Ocean Eyes,” “Six Feet Under” and “Bellyache,” were recorded with the 2020.

It proves you dont need to go big to achieve a great result.

I bought this microphone to make recordings at home and so on. Very nice sound and built quality. Recordings are very nice after they are processed. For the price, very good microphone !
