Everything as expected

Got this before the estimated date, everything shipped perfectly. Mic working just fine with Steinberg UR12 on Win10 OS, I'm no expert in audio stuff to be honest but setup was really straightforward, Mic input clean as water (Assuming gain is not all the way up ofc) and overall I'm super happy with everything.

Got this mic about six months ago and I'm really happy with it. It sounds nice, the build quality is great and I don't have anything bad to say about it. I used it for recording vocals and acoustic guitars which it handled that pretty well. The best choice in this price range for sure.

Fantastic Microphone

I have had this microphone for years so I can confidently say that it's probably one of the best things I've ever bought.

The metal body is sturdy, giving it a good solid foundation. Sound is perfect out of the box and since it has to be coupled with an audio interface, it gives you a good range of input options.

My initial usage for it was mainly communication, coupled with voice work for personal projects. So the quality of this microphone was more than enough to what I needed at the time and continues to satisfy my needs as I started getting into recording music.

From my experience with it, I highly advise getting a foam cover for the microphone as spoken sounds like Ps and Ts can come out a little harsh. So if you can squeeze that into your purchase, you won't regret it!

Overall, if you're looking for a good entry-level microphone to get into studio work, this is the only one I could ever recommend.

Solid MIC

Nice and affordable

I used to have the same one before and I liked the price/quality ratio, so I bought myself a new one. Not to compare with Neumann or Telefunken Flagships, but a good choice for a variety of cases from Vocals to sample recording.

Great microphone for home recordings and more

This is the first microphone that I bought for my home recording sessions as per recommendations from a friend of mine who works as a professional sound engineer. Great microphone for its price.

Great low and high frequencies, but maybe falls a bit short in regards to the mid frequencies. Have been using it to record vocals, different types of sound samples (finger snaps, claps, etc.) as well as acoustic guitars, which sound great through this microphone. Some of the recorded home samples with this microphone have been used later in professionally recorded songs, so you are definitely looking at a great quality, affordable microphone.

Well built, feels strong and durable. Have been using it for more than a year now and have traveled with it for a bit and can't report any issues or damage to the exterior. Does have a good weight which in turn provides steadiness when attached to a microphone stand.

If you are looking for a great microphone to start of with and don't want to bust your bank, I highly recommend getting this microphone. Even though I think it lacks a bit in regards to mid frequencies, other than that this is a great choice.

Solid mic for the price!

I have two of these mics and use them for both voice and instrument recording. I primarily record drums when recording music and have them setup in stereo, which sounds great! When i'm at home i use a phantom-power converter since it needs 48v , to my computer which works great for chatting or recording voice samples without needing a mixer or other hardware.

I can't say that I have much experience with mics before, but I'm really pleased with my purchase and would recommend this product to anyone looking for a solid multipurpose mic.

Very good first mic but I would pitch in a little bit and go for NT1 or NT1A

USE: This is my first mic and it works really well for acoustic guitar and as well as vocals.

CLARITY: It picks up a noise especially if your room is not sound treated but if you put the mic close when singing then it should not be an issue. It's also really good for acoustic guitar. Overall clarity seems really up to the mark, given that this is one of the starter mics.

PROS:

1. Well built, like a tank. It's nice and heavy and feels really well protected.

2. Good sound for the money for Vocals and great sound for Acoustic guitar for the money

3. Non-muddy sound

CONS:

1. Picks up quite a bit of noise

2. No gain control on the mic

3. No switch for on and off

4. Only Cardiod pattern

UNDERSTANDING:

Even though there are cons there is nothing you can not do in post production. It's same as photography. Even the lowest cams can shoot really good pictures. If you have some more money go for the NT1A or NT1 better, and if you don't this is more than enough to get you started.

Amazing Microphone For Under 100 Euro

I use this mic for recording vocals, acoustic guitar and have tried it on electric guitar amps, in my bedroom and in the studio. I find it records things clearly with a detailed high end and very well for the price.

Pros:

- Affordable

- Mic feels like it is very robust (although I'm still very careful with it)

- Sounds great

- The mic clip is very strong

Cons:

- There's no pad on the mic which could prove useful in some situations BUT, I have yet to come close to overloading the mic's pre-amp

- No high pass filter. I think this mic should've come with a high pass filter AT LEAST to accommodate the lack of a proper shock mount to prevent low-frequency rumble.

- The mic itself along with its mic clip is pretty heavy which might cause some problems if you're using a short or long stand that leans over as it may cause the stand to topple over.

All in all, I would recommend this mic to anyone looking for a condenser microphone, whether they are experienced or not. I wish this microphone was one of the first ones that I bought because it's such a great microphone and it's definitely one most people should invest in.

The ideal microphone if you're looking to start recording your music

It's my first "professional" microphone that I use to record my songs, covers etc. It records vocals and instrumental music very well. It was a choice between Shure SM58 and this.

My first microphone was a good choice! I really like this mic as it's not too heavy or bulky and is perfect for guitar or vocals

Best quality/price ratio

I bought this microphone several years ago, and I have used it to record voices (female and male) and acoustic guitars. It's excellent in both cases, and rivals microphones costing 4 times its price. A friend of mine bought one on my suggestion for his own voice and he is very satisfied as well.

The sound is a little flat but the mic is still very good quality. Honestly considering the price, this is an amazing mic.

Excellent first mic

This was the first condenser microphone I ever purchased- about 9 years ago, and have been using it since. Recorded a few albums and other projects with it, and it still works great and is the workhorse of my home studio. A few months ago I decided to buy another one to be able to record in stereo.

1. Build quality is great. Sturdy. After 9 years the mount still holds firmly and the cable insert is as tight as ever.

2. Features. Not much options here, simple cardioid polar pattern without any padding or filter switches. At the price it's okay though. Also, less stuff to get ruined. And if this is your first mic it's a great learning tool for mic placement and stuff.

3. Handling. I don't really like the mount, it's not very practical, a bit tricky to get the mic in good position. But once it's there it holds firmly so it does the job I guess. A separate shock mount might be a good investment.

4. Sound. I haven't really used better quality mics on a regular basis so I don't have much to compare it to but so far I managed to get nice results with it. Very versatile if you play around with placement. Very nice clean sound, but can be a bit flat and thin while being low mid heavy at the same time if you don't bother with correct positioning. I recorded countless instruments with it, made recordings of 50+ tracks with only this mic and had pleasing results. Great for drum overheads as well, I also tried it as a wurst mic and does a surprisingly good job at it.

5. All in all this is an excellent first choice for the home studio and can be your main mic for years. I think it is great value for the money and upgrading would only be a noticable plus if you bought stuff around 3-4× the price of this.
