Behringer HA400 Reviews
Handy little Headphone Splitter
We´re using a Zoom R16 to record ourselves while rehearsing, to get some kind of in-Ear Monitoring we are using the HA400 to split the Headphones-signal into 4 seperate ones.
At firs we had some issues because of using a mono.cable, there was very low volume. With using a stereo cable these issues have been solved.
The splitter itself is very small and comes with an AC/DC Supply, unfortunatelly there is no On-off Switch, but there is a small LED showing the status.
The Sound provided by this small box is ok. There is a little of sizling noise but that´s ok regarding the price, it is not even 20 Euros!
We are using it since half a year and haven´t had any problems with it so far.
IF you want to find out whether an In-Ear solution is the right thing for your band, that is probably a good way to give it try.
A nice preamp for home studio
I bought this item because I found the output on my Tascam US-600 USB audio interface to be a bit low when tracking.
The headphone amplifier boosts the output to a decent level with plenty of headroom.
Sound quality is very transparent, exactly what you want for a headphone amplifier. The preamp is also silent, it doesn't introduce any noise.
I'd recommend this to anyone looking to run multiple sets headphones off one source (useful when tracking a whole band) or for increasing the volume on a low output source.
A perfect tool in a home studio. It's worth noting that it doesn't come with a cable.
It does what it says it will!
For me this has been a perfect audio splitter.
It is simple, easy to use and it doesn't feel cheap or like it is going to break.
I have been using it for band practice with all my other band members. Because everybody has different headphones it is really nice that you can set your own levels .
I've owned this for 3-4 months now and there has been no issues with it. Don't forget that this needs a stereo cable for the input!
Behringer HA400
Nice portable headphone amplifier with four outputs. Simple, sturdy and easy to manage. Works great for home applications and rehersals. This isn't a high grade studio piece so don't expect anything other.
Handy good quality
When you need headphones in a live take, close to musician, it works fine. You can easily put the unit close to the singers. Very good quality for money. Used with a hi-end headphones it sound really good, do not affect the quality. You must have a good power supply. The case is not as robust as other brands but it is ok, and it is very lite. Very good quality for money.
Excellent to have around
Very handy little headphone amp to have at the studio work desk. With 4 headphone outputs, it has ample room for headphones, and at an exceptional sound quality and gain level too. Built like a tank and very compact size, excellent all round! Although the channel gain pots are quite stiff so need a short while to break them in.
A Good Choice
I bought this as a spare headphone amp and also to compare the quality between this and the Millenium HA4. The price of the product was appealing and being a student this was perfect for me. Personally I would recommend the Millenium HA4 over this mainly due to the additional protection on the exterior of the amp. In terms of ease of use its simplicity is appealing to all musicians though for the more sound conscious & Gear-heads I would recommend a higher level amp.
Overall:
Good budget headphone.
Well protected though lack of rubber on the exterior may lead to damage through scratchs / slidding and dropping off its place.
Good overall sound quality.
Behringer
This little amp is very easy to use. 4 independant stereo outs and 4 independant volumes. Great piece of gear. Every other multichannel headphone amp is much more expensive. HA400 gives you the freedom to provide signal to every member of your band at remarkable price. Behringer has a bad reputation out there, but they made some very usefull and affordable gear. This is one of them.
Metal body, very small, very clear sound and very low price. It's like a Christmass gift from Germany.
There is power adapter (12V) in the package. There is no doubt - this amp is great for every home recording studio.
Simple, inexpensive headphone splitter
It splits a stereo signal into 4 stereo signals. That's all it does, and it does it fine. I use it as a personal headphone monitor for clients, so they can control the volume in their ears when recording. I've also used these onstage to send click tracks/backing tracks from a laptop to the rest of the band, there's plenty of gain available, even for an especially loud drummer wearing ear-buds.
I have two of these, and I've had no problems with either one. They're pretty light, so I use blutack to stick them to a convenient flat surface, to stop them getting knocked over.
Headphone amp
4 channel headphone amp, each channel has it's own volume. Power output is ok, drummers would need something stronger.
Works as advertised
Works exactly as advertised, no issues with audio quality. I would like it be a bit louder, but for the price it's good.
Just what we needed
Good audio. Stops presenters plugging headphones into the main mixer!
Headphone slitter
Great audio splitter for headphone mixes
Can be used in live or recording situations for individual changes to monitor mixes.
Headphone amp
This has a great sound and is small enough to be portable where ever you want to use it.
for the money, unbeatable
rugged build, great sound quality for the money, perfect for project studio monitoring. The power adaptor is a little flimsy, so keep the cardboard it comes with (but ultimately, even if that goes, it's standard fitting and voltage, so this doesn't present any problems)
at this price, it is impossible to argue with Behringer's no nonsense, strictly functional approach.
Great Quality for the price
i bought this headphone amp to be used to allow our drummer to hear click tracks to our backing tracks to play live, this does a fine job and amplifies thesignal more than necessary to allow him to hear over a full band. with 4 outputs this allows us all to have a pair of headphones and practice almost completely in ear, which allows us to hear much clearer and saves us becoming deaf int he future. great product and at just over £15 is amazing value
