I use this with the behringer 4 channel line mix as part of my in-ear settings, it is noisy past the 2 p.m. mark, but useful nonetheless.

Does its job pretty well

I needed a small headphone amp, just for tracking, in order to split the signal to multiple headphones. I think this is one of the cheapest headphone amps (if not the cheapest one), so I was keeping my expectations low regarding the quality.

I was pleasantly surprised when I tested it: I have no noise/hum issues. I can't tell for sure whether the audio signal that comes out is degraded. It may be, so just to be safe I wouldn't use it for critical listening, but just for tracking it is the perfect cheap solution.

Keep in mind that due to its small size and weight, you may need to stick it on your desk to keep it steady.

For a cheap solution that just works, I'd surely recommend it.

GREAT LITTLE THING

This solved a lot of cable-stretching for me and has worked like a charm in my homestudio. If you don't get enough volume out of this, you're doing something wrong. Sufficient output from your sound interface is a must.

Behringer products are extreme value for money. I have used many of their products for years and none of them have died on me yet :)

Just what I wanted.

Wanted to split my headphone signal to 4 ways, so everybody can hear the same mix while jamming at the playing room in my studio. It's loud, not noisy, doesn't compromising the sound quality, and easy to use. Just what I wanted. And for this price, this was a very good decision!

Good basic headphone amplifier

I bought this as I needed one of these quickly and to be fair to it, it's worked perfectly on a number of recording sessions perfectly and without any issues.

Its very well made and sturdy, offers a fair degree of flexibility, and allowed us all to monitor without problems. Pretty noiseless and there was no distortion heard during use either. My only gripe would be that there wasn't a great deal of gain on tap and we were all near the end of the volume range before we were all happy with our levels. That's not to detract from the level of performance this offers in a budget price range, but don't expect too much.

Great budget piece of equipment that works perfectly well and is made to last.

Quite Good

The transit time was almost 3 weeks but the product is pretty good according to the price.

It works clearly as it's main equivalents.

Amazing little piece of hardware for a home studio

Nothing much to say about this, build quality is good, sound is good and it generally feels great. A good accessory for the budget home studio.

Good budget headphone mixer

I bought this because I needed a device that will enable me to have multiple headphones with different volume levels from my recording interface. For this job it's the perfect device. It sounds just fine, but I think you should be careful with your input and output levels and not crank it too much.

The only minus I can think of is that there is no on and off button and you have to manually unplug the mixer every time you want to turn it on and off. Other than that it's a good cheap mixer!

Noting special but is well built, does what it's meant to do and it's really cheap.

Value for money product

Another value for money device by Behringer.

HA400 provides clear audio and high amplification percentages on the headphones. Good quality materials used to assemble this box. Suggested with no doubts.

Great bang for buck!

If you're looking for a cheap alternative to a PA for band practice, definitely buy these. They aren't the best headphone amps out there, by a long shot, but they work.

One thing that bugs me about it is the lack of an On/Off button but aside from that it just works super well, with relatively high output and sound quality. Also, I'm pretty sure these are the cheapest in the market with means that they're real good for the price.

Great Construction. Produces a little noise on high volumes, expected for the price.

Nice headphone amplifier

This headphone amplifier has worked very well for me in my home studio. The audio signal doesn't seem to degrade and/or no warmth or brightness is added, so the sound you get is the same as if you'd plug directly your headphones into your interface. I got the dark gray/black version and actually I like it more than the light/white version. The device seems to be of a strong build, at least it looks that it won't break with regular use. The only con I could find, at this price range, is that it lacks an on/off button. Highly recommended.

Only seems to give LEFT feed to your ears

Good piece of kit, but only seems to allow the left headphone to work. Not ideal...

Good headphone amp considered its price range

I had a very specific application for the HA400, and despite the price it serves this purpose very well. My use case was to route my TV to multiple headphones and to a Super T-amp. The main connection is from the headphone out of the TV to the input of the HA400, then each channel of the HA400 goes into a dedicated headphone or the T-Amp. I have headphones with multiple impedance so a simple split cable would not do. The sound quality is quite good, all considered. The HA400 is very quiet until about 85% where a noticeable hiss is introduced in the channel. I A/B compared with few CDs and while there is some sound coloration, I could not feel any meaningful difference between directly playing from a CD player into the T-Amp or going through the TV with the HA400, but of course the whole setup is not for audiophile listening. I don't think this little preamp can really be used for proper headphone mixing, although I don't see a problem in using it for tracking with multiple musicians. This is definitely a well made little box, it does what it says, and is cheap!

It is OK

Good signal slitter. Very straight forward, very easy to use. The sound going through the device almost does not change. But remember that you can not use the device to split signal which was sent through "Aux" (for monitor) from the mixer because it is a mono signal and on the exit from the device only left side of your headphones will work. So use only a stereo signal because the device will not transform mono to stereo.

Very good

This product does very well what it is suppose to do. Daisy chains 1 input signal into 4 outputs with independent volume knobs.

The signal is very clean and for the price, I have no cons.

OK, but

Overall sound is ok. This piece is very effective, it has been used a lot in my studio without any problem.
