Behringer HA400

The Behringer HA400 is a useful budget-friendly product, that fits perfectly in a home-studio.

Its four outputs are enough and should cover you for anything you work on. Its sound quality is great for tracking multiple people but I would plug my headphones directly to my audio interface when mixing\mastering.

It has a sturdy and compact metal design, the knobs move just fine and all around doesn't feel cheap.

Just remember to buy a TRS cable to connect it to your audio interface!

I forgot that a standard 6,3 inch cable carries mono signal thus when I opened the device I was hearing only from one side. Please learn from my mistake and remember to buy a TRS cable :)

Cheers!

Just what I needed. The build is great. The sound quality is great and it produces more than enough volume.

Simple and solid, as it should

it's a simple box, it splits a stereo audio signal into 4 signals with each their own seperate volume. it functions as it should. And it's a robust thing too. Dropped it a good few times and it still functions as should. great piece of gear

loud enough

I'm using it to give to the musicians a beat or a mix to play on it, so I don't seek the sound quality here. It amplifies the signal well and you have to be careful with the input signal so it's not clipping

Great value for money

4 outs for headphones with decent quality. Behrings is always the best and chepestcsolution out there.

On higher level it has no good sound

Not the best sound on higher volumes. Ok for lower volumes and did the job. But a lot of disturbtion on higher levels.

Does its job

Compact, easy to setup and does a great job providing a clean sound to all outputs.

get a good cable with noise resistance.

This does what it's intended to do; signal splitting and signal amplifying for headphones. BUT, I think this doesn't have any internal noise filtering functionality at all.

But with the right cable to bring in the signal, this works okay.

metal casing feels great.

great splitter

I use this splitter in my studio to connect several different reference headphones to check my mixes.

overall the sound is great and the controls do what they are supposed to do.

I also have a mono aventone speaker connected to one of the outputs (with a modified cable of course), and here you can hear some noise coming through when pushed hard. that's about the only con I can give this device. and in the end it wasn't really created to do this job, so you might say it doesn't really count.

for it's price a great headphone splitter/amplifier!

Good product

I use an audient id14 interface. Obviously, the quality of output of the Behringer does not compare to that. For tracking and listening to the takes for a whole band, this does the job perfectly. It has an all-metal chassis. The only plastic used is the knobs. They could have been slightly better quality.
