My Favorates

Never had a problem with slinkys in 15 years of playing

Perfect for every guitarrist

Cheap and reliable strings from a loyal brand. For the money you are paying, and considering the amount of string sets out there and at different prices, the quality is unbeatable. Very pleased with the product and I will keep purchasing these strings.

If you are recording and feel like you need to upgrade your strings to Ddario NYXL, there is no need for that since you will be paying about twice for a set of 6 strings when Ernie Ball provices this quality at a significantly lower price.

Ernie strings

They are average good. I used these and now I adopted heavier ones. Well, I don't usually play bends, and these "Regular Slinky" are ok for bends.

Always perfect

Have been using Ernie Ball strings on electric, acoustic, and bass, for over 20 years now. Never have had a quality control problem or any dead strings out of the pack - simple, consistent, and great sound and playability.

good

cheap but they don't last long

Decent strings

After few sets it becomes obvious to me that they break alot easier than d'addarios that are similarly priced.

They lose sparkle faster than competition and have less attractive sound(for me).

Don't get me wrong. There not a bad strings but I'm just saying there are better strings out there for similar price.

My favourite strings in 20 years for my '64 Jag.

The Ernie Ball classics. Great strings to put on a strat for example.

They have a very warm and balanced sound and are very comfortable too play, especially when you bend notes a lot.

Not as sharp/brittle sounding as D'addario or Fender strings and more comfort to play.

They last about as long as every regular string sat so yeah what can I say more ERNIE BALL is the way to go!

Great Set Of Strings For A Strat!

These strings are really durable and rich in tone! I find these strings really easy to do bends with.

Just great consistency

I have been using these strings for quite some time. I use them on several of my guitars and I find these to stay in tune very well!

Very consistent quality with these. I dont recall ever breaking a ernie ball string once. Usually they outlast me tonewise and I just change them for reliability.

Great product, sharp prices, fast delivery!

Reliability and quality

These strings are my 'go-to' strings for all my electric guitars. I always know what I'm getting in terms of tone and reliability, but also durability as they have rarely broken on me. All in all a top product!!

Why use anything else

Tried various other strings over the years, and I appreciate that there are more expensive fancy coated strings out there that promise extended life and so on, but these have always been reliable for me with good feel, sound and a decent life. Usually change every 5 or 6 gigs, I can't remember the last time I snapped a string so will probably use these forever!

Go for it

I use exclusively Ernie Ball strings. This gauge goes on my shorter scale length guitar (24,75 inches). On this guitar, they handle downtuning pretty well, and also bend well. I've had them sound and look fresh for up to two months. I also like the fact, that each strings has its individual paper package - they are not tied together. This makes unpacking and unwinding much easier and causes less damage. The price is unbeatable.

However, for longer scale guitars, I would recommend using the 9-46 set.

Amazing strings!

Love these strings. I have a pretty bright setup (Tele + Vox amp). These still stand up to the heat even after a year of dulling out!

Ernie Ball 2221

Use:

I got this set for Custom guitar with two humbuckers and body from mahagony.

pros & cons:

This brand provides you good quality with stable characteristics. There is enough brights, espesially for mahagony guitars.

Great strings.

I have been using Slinkys for 5 or 6 years now and I have nothing bad to say about them.

They feel great, sound great, last long enough and are priced reasonably.

I have tried many different Ernie Ball strings, and I have settled down with Regular Slinkys for my ES335 and Super Slinkys for my strat and similar guitars.

Would definitely recommend them to anyone who hasn't tried them already.

Really the best!

I do not use other strings on my guitars and either wait for them to be in stock or pay extra to get them. It adds twang to my stat and lovely Clapton tones.

On my Gibson LP studio it provides flexibility to the sound, no matter if it is a gentle strum or an attacking chaos applied to the strings.

I stand by these strings! They have never broken or left me stranded or embarrassed.
