High quality
Hi quality set of strings. Highly recommended.
Good strings, what else from Ernie Ball?
Great strings, keep tune for at least a couple months. Very diverse sound. Heavy on the lower strings, with a fair amount of clarity on the higher strings.
Ernie balls never disappoint me as they've always got the sound I'm looking for, with the capacity to give a good sound through multiple ODs and distortions. They can be a tiny bit muddy on clean strums, but that's not an issue for me.
my choice in strings
I use this type of strings in my older guitar in standard tuning. sounds a little bit thick compared to .09 and keep the sound more soft and round.
good quality, last very long.
I use ernie ball since I've start playing and they never let me down
Great strings if you change them often
This might only be my experience, but when fresh, these strings are the best strings for bending I've tried, and sound great. They really are slinky, and for a period of not more than a week of playing they're excellent.
Then they promptly start to oxidize, sound tinny and lose elasticity. But they're the most comfortable strings to use while they last. If I were a professional playing a tour where minions change my strings before each show I'd use these (or maybe the RPS version of these). As an amateur who's not rich, I have to think of alternatives. I usually gravitate between these and D'Addario EXL 110 strings, which last longer but are less bendy.
Again, maybe that's just my experience and my hand chemistry is what's causing it. But I've heard others describing the same issues.
I've been using these a lot for more than 10 years now - I bend a lot so they're handy.
blues strings
With mu Telecaster this strings give me a very nice blues sound !
Exelent strings
Excellent quality. My favourites strings. I recomend this product.
Excellent strings, if only they lasted longer
While setting up a friends guitar, he told me to string it up with these, and I have never gone back since.
I used to always play d'addario, but didn't like the roughness of the strings, and whenever I tried coated strings like elixers, I didn't like the smooth coating on the strings. I found these to be the perfect middle ground.
These strings just feel way better than anything I've ever tried. Even when they would start to go dull, it was over a period of time, and not just instantly dull.
A few weeks ago I discovered fast fret, and when used on strings, brought back some brightness and cleaned the strings, they still didn't feel that fresh. When used with these, it felt like I had restrung the guitar in two minutes. The two products were practically made for each other.
The only downside that I find to these strings is that each string is wrapped individually in paper sleeves, and I'd much prefer if they were packed similar to the d'addario sets.
best strings on the market
I have used these strings for many many years, I just have never found any type of strings that come close for tone and reliability.
What else do you need
Used by amateurs and pros alike. Simply the best strings out there.
Great
These strings sound great, and will last you for a good amount of time. Ernie Ball are a big name for a reason!
Great Strings
These strings are great. The output is good and the tuning stability is great. Highly recommended.
Very playable
I've been using this strings now for some time on most of my guitars and I can freely say that they are best of all the strings that I have tried for some type of the guitars. I use them on my '72 LP Custom and '52 AVRI Telecaster and they shine on this two guitars, but on the oposite side I do prefer Dean Markley Blue Steel on my American Strat with Klein Pickups. I have mixed feeling about PRS 513 and this strings...I like them more than D'Addarios on PRS, but they are just not sounding as desired...I will try some other brands on this one, but keeping EB on Tele and Gibson...
Not much more to say
Great tone, great bending. I would say they are perfect for the regular user, that would replace those every week or so. For me, as a home sporadic player, these get old a bit too fast, as I normally just change strings every 2 or 3 months.
Excelent for the price
Excelent relationship price and sound.
Good quality
Good quality, but for me the sound is a little bit thinner than other strings like Daddario and Ghs
Best strings for Les Paul
Love those strings on a Les Paul. Nice quality and great delivery! Thanks
Reliable strings for electric guitar
I currently use these strings for electric guitar. Really reliable and now industry standard strings, heavy duty and in my opinion last long. No real cons here.
Im not a guitarist, im a drummer but i do have my brothers old guitars, so i just wanted some fresh strings for them! and they worked exactlly like how they should! if you dont have much idea about how different guages feel etc. this is a really good place to start
Best there is
Great strings used on an electric fender strat
Sound great after a little use they are sounding perfect and they adjust well.
They keep well and didn't have to change them for a while - Not the heaviest user of my guitar but it still gets used
Overall i would recommed 100%
- Have come back and bought more
As good as Elixir?
I usually use Elixir Nanoweb, got these for my daughters guitar, very good string. Highly recommend them.
