Ernie Ball 2221

I've been using these strings for years. I think I have never used other brand. It's good quality and just does the job. Maybe you can try different thickness depends on your style.

Nice Quality

Very nice quality, I use them on my Fender Strat.

They are really good for metal/hardrock. Very bright and durable. Just clean the moist after playing and they will last bright for 6 months. Even after that they lose the bright very slowly. Amazing for the price.

I just miss some color scheme like d'adario strings have. Becarefull not to miss the right string when changing them.

Excellent strings!!!

First of all the price for the quallity of the strings is great! I use the ernie ball 2221 more than a year and I 'm fully satisfied. The sound also is excellent, and they hold the tuning long enough! I recommend them

These are the strings with which I have the best rendering.

A clear and brilliant sound and good sustain.

I highly recommend this string brand. I have never been disappointed, they are also pretty solid. To buy with closed eyes. I use these strings on a PRS 408 and Gibson Les Paul. Thanks!

Great Strings

These are provably the most iconic strings ever.

And there's a good reason so many people use them: they sound amazing.

The sound starts to get a little bit dull after a week or so, but, still, my favorite strings for standard tuning.

When I'm playing Eb I prefer a set of 11s, otherwise, these are the ones.

It's perfect!

I play Ernie Ball all the time and it was the best strings for sound/quality/price choice. The sound is quite bright, and it's very hard to brake the strings.

I use this set of Ernie Ball strings for my stat and tele guitars and I'm really satisfied. I've tried a lot of others but for now I'm settlings with these.

Durability and sound quality in a good price.

Recommended.

The Mutts Nuts!

These are the only strings I buy these days. Have tried a few other brands in the distant past but have always come back to EB's. Reliability, consistency, longevity, versatility, feel and tone all score 10/10 and at a price that's hard to beat. As with most strings they are too bright when brand new but they do settle in very quickly, and if lightly stretched when first fitted, tune easily and hold it well. After 35 years of playing, hopefully I should be a reasonable judge!

Best for the price

I bought these strings because my older strings (Pyramid .08s) kept breaking all the time.

Those will probably be my usual strings from now on, very good quality and good sound.

The best strings on the market

Ernie Ball strings are great. I have tried a couple of different brands of strings before, and found that Ernie Balls are the best strings for the price. The tuning stability is great and they sound very good

Perfect strings

Just the right amount of tension and an amazing broken into feel in these string. The perfect strings for normal guitar playing that does not break the bank. Unfortunately corrodes pretty quickly.

I like these strings but they do not last that long and for the price I would prefer them to go more distance. A pity really as the sound is good and I would like to use them more, alas the life/price....

Consistently great strings

I've been using these strings for 10+ years and this is an industry standard, as far as I'm concerned. They always sound good, and are very consistent between sets - which cannot be said of some other brands. The slinky's are exactly that: slinky under the fingers without feeling old when they're just fresh from the packet. They do not last as long as some of the coated strings, but I've not found a coated string type/brand that feels as good as these, so I'll stick with EB's!

Superb set of strings

I've tried all different brands of strings but I must admit I always tend to revert back to the Ernie Ball 10's.

They are reliable and have a more superior sound quality to other string brands I've used. I found that durability is pretty good too. They tend to last longer then you might think.

However like all strings they do lose some tonality the longer they are left out in the elements.

Strong great sounding strings

I use only Ernie Ball strings for my guitars. The sound great and they are cheap.

The best I ever used!!

I've used Ernie Ball 2221 on my Fender Stratocaster 1966 (orig. bought in 1986in Chicago at Chicago Music Exchange) for about 1 year ..and "man" what a difference.. they have the perfect mix of thickness, since I tune in #E

So perfect mix of durability and playability - Simply the best strings I've ever used!
