The best strings

These are definitely my favourite guitar strings. I've tested them on every type of guitars and they always sound good. Highly recommend!

Good Quality for their price

Ernie Ball regular slinkys have been my go to strings for 2 years now , and while they may not be the best strings in the world they are cheap but don't sound it.

I personally made the move to regular slinkys after super slinkys proved too lightweight for me and often broke , regular slinkys on the other hand rarely break for me and tend to last until the become dull after a good few weeks.

My standard strings for standard tuning

The Ernie Ball Regular Slinky are my standard strings for standard tuning.

I've never had any problems with them. Depending on the guitar these strings can last up to two years. Usually I swap these strings after one year of use. As I don't play gigs that often and I don't sweat that much on the hands when playing guitar I don't see any reason to do that earlier.

I don't just prefer the Regular Slinky Strings because they are durable, I also tried different brands and strings but always came back to these. Reasons are the sound and the feeling of the strings when I play the guitar.

Very good , balanced sound. They stretch a little more than other brands to begin with but once stretched they keep in tune very well. Good value for the money

Very nice sound

These strings are quite good, have a clean sound quality and for the price they are quite good, last about 9 months quite use and don't rust easily

Very nice set of strings

Pros:

They sound very balanced

They appear to have lower tension than D'Addarios, so it's easier to do bends.

Price

Cons:

None

I highly recommend them.

One of the best, period!

I cannot say good enough things about these strings.

Quality, durability, reliability, sound quality and comfort... it's all there!

I specially like the feeling of playing these strings, because when using the same gauge from different brands, these feel somehow more comfortable to play and easier to bend.

Pros:

- Harmonic properties

- Most comfortable I played until now

- Durable and reliable

- Top quality

Cons:

- Shame they are not sold in packs of 3 or 10 to save a bit of money

Best Strings

These are my favorite strings, the ernie ball regular slinkies. Great tone, great feel.

Good value for money

I was looking for a less expensive set of strings, cause I change them twice a month, and I think this one works. Good intonation, they bend easily and - for the 2-3 weeks that I keep them on - they sing. Perfect for my LP, very good for my 335 and SG.

The best strings at their price range

Before I start I have to confess that I was using Ernie ball strings for the most part of my playing "career". Nevertheless I found the regular slinky to be their best (for the price) and most versatile strings of the Ernie range.

You can play any genre without hesitation or difficulty and sound great (either palm muting or crazy blues bending, it will do the job). Obviously if you are playing at low tunings these might not be the strings for you. I am at standard D on a Les Paul (shorter scale length than a Strat) and they suit me just fine - you will encounter some difficulties from Drop C and below.

I have also tried the 9s from Ernie but they were too slim for me and they snap quite easy. I have also tried a couple different ones from the D'Addario range (which were double and triple the price) and still I found myself returning to these. Obviously there are better, more expensive ones but if you change your strings every month or so, like I do, then these should definitely be one of your top choices.

Best of the Best

I've been using Ernie Ball slinky's for as long as I can remember I've tried about brands of strings but they don't even come close

Always the same :)

My go to strings for my 3 electric guitars, LP style, Strat and Epiphone Casino. But i do sometimes use a heavier gauge...

Very good for LP scale length guitars

Weapons of choice;)

I've been using EB strings as long as I can remember, have them on basically all my guitars. Fairly cheap, reliable and good sounding, can only recommend;)

Nice set of strings

Bought these strings for my new fender squier jaguar- mostly wanting to try out different string brands after previously using fenders and d'addarios.

Overall they gave a decent sound, the high strings didn't cut my fingers, stayed in tune fairly okay, and I was able to re string them again and again with ease while adjusting the notorious bridge on the jaguar.

At one point I tuned my guitar up a step, strummed, and the high e strings ball popped (The string was still fine, just the ball at the end came loose). I attribute this to the fact I had it tuned up, however it's something to keep in mind if this is something you plan on.

The only brand for me!

Ernie ball are the only strings I will use, have used them for years and will continue with them. Great longevity and sound. Also a sensible range available for various styles/tunings.

Ernie Ball strings.

I've tried a lot of different brands of strings but always got back to Ernie Balls. They sound good and also last long.

Best strings!

I 've tried everything many times. Ernieball strings is the only thing I 'll ever put in my guitars whether they Les Pauls, Jazzmasters or PRSi.

If only they would last longer...this is their only flaw, they tend to wear down really easily compared to other brands.

But soundwise they are still the best for me, for as ling as they last.

A real benchmark

Great strings!

Completely middle of the road, reliable, with consistent quality.

Being in sealed plastic foil also gives the strings a long shelf life as they aren't exposed to the atmosphere, perfect to have spares in a gig bag.

A complete set of work horses!
