Harley Benton Valuestrings EL 10-46 Reviews
Slightly better than you expect
I bought these just to be sure and it completely paid off as I broke one of the stock strings of the new guitar right away.
So, I changed all those strings and it sounds nice, handles well and I have a better overall from these than from those which were stock on Harley Benton guitar, which came with these strings.
If you need cheap strings, then this is your pick and the quality is above what you expect.
Good strings
I bought both sizes of these Harley Benton strings (009 and 010) for comparison. I expected, that so cheap strings cannot be good. Nevertheless, I ordered several pieces. When I used them for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised. The sound is nice; I would not say it is produced by so cheap strings. Of course, it depends on the style that you play, but personally, I like more the sound of ?010?, which is pretty robust. Nevertheless, I recommend both sizes.
Really good strings
This strings are very good for the price. I'm very supprised for quality.
Mega value Strings
Great strings for the price stay in tune and never broken one single string yet
Decent value..
These are decent value strings and certainly a great option for someone starting out or wanting to change to fresh strings very often.....
To my ear they sounded just a little bit "tinny" on the wound strings and went dead a little quicker than say Ernie Ball but I must admit they were on a refurbished guitar I was selling on and so were ideal for setting up and testing...
Why use anything else?
Sounds as good as any other string when new.
They lose their sparkle a little more quickly than a set 5 times the price, not 5 times as quickly.
Great product
These strings are amazing
These strings are simply amazing considering the price, they sound great, they feel great, I haven't had any problems with them.
I don't think I will buy from other more expensive brands any more when it comes to strings.
Great Product
Excellent value for money, as good as all the other strings I bought.
Superb workhorse string's.
I am a guitarist who plays a wide variety of styles from twangy country to mellow jazz.I have been using ernie ball strings for thirty years but just thought I would give these Harley Benton strings a try. I can tell you I am not disappointed ! these strings deliver the goods and more, they have the ability to blend to whatever style I'm playing with aplomb.Ten out of ten to Harley Benton a steal at this price ,give them a try they wont be found wanting !!!
Very good value
I've used these for several months now and to be fair they are very good value. I've found then to be not as bright (when brand new) as Gibson or Addario strings and they tarnish a little quicker but frankly for the
price I've no complaints whatsoever. They ar ewell packages and arrived with no kinks or manufacturing flaws whatsoever.
I'm mostly a home player and really only change strings on my guitars every 6 months. These value string shave allowed me to experiment with different gauges without burning a hole in my pocket.
Additionally they have served me well as 'stand-by' strings just to have handy in the gig bag.
Recommended for casual players.
Very poor
The worst strings I have ever seen. Do not buy them. I know they're cheap, but do not buy them. They would be more useful as transparent fishing line than as uke strings. Do yourself a favour and buy some actual strings like Aquila or Pyramid.
Great for the price
These are good strings for what you pay for them.
You have to be careful which guitar you put them on. I used them on my PRS and Les Paul. The PRS was fine but because the fret wire on the Les Paul is softer the strings have worn into them which means a big repair bill.
Wasn't expecting much but pleasantly surprised
When I saw the price of these compared to the other strings out there I instantly assumed these would be total garbage. But for the price it's pretty hard not to try them out.
Really decent quality, I wouldn't be surprised if these exact same strings aren't being rebranded and sold by other brands for a higher price.
At the price you can afford to buy a few packs and have them in the studio and in your case, you'll never be without fresh strings!
There might be strings out there that would last a little longer, but again, for the price that doesn't really matter. You can change your strings twice as often and still be saving a ton of cash with these strings, definitely worth trying out.
Great value strings
I gave these a go because they were so cheap and I'm not disappointed. They hardly sound any different to any other brand and - although I did break the D-string quite quickly - at this price I can afford to restring every gig!
Great value
These are unbelieveably cheap - in price, but the quality is decent for what you pay, I would recommend them, these are better new than top quality old strings.
Good value
Good value strings - well worth the money
Best Value for the Bucks even at higher price
Great strings for r. I am using Harley Benton string for two years and must to say that quality is on highest standard. Beside electric guitars 010, i am user for they bass string in gauge 040 and 045, and 009 for electric guitar.
They all sound and last like much expensive strings!!
I still don't figure out how they could sell this strings at this price. They are stored in a vacuum protective bag so you can use them even years after the purchase, far more expansive sets don't have this wise option and after months I found them completely rusted. At this point for the same price you can buy 10 or even 12 of these and always play with new, fresh strings all year long. It is way better a new set of string whatever the quality could be rather than play with an expensive but very old set, especially for a gig and studio recording.
A bit disappointed
I am used to D?addario strings so I bought these because they were very cheap and I wanted to try them out and see if they were any good compared to ?high end strings?. I have to say that these strings sound a bit flat and they don?t feel as nice as D?addario strings. They also seem to age a lot faster and feel old even if you have just put them on the guitar. For 1,5 euros I guess they aren?t bad but I?d rather stick with higher quality strings myself.
Great strings regardless of price!
I bought these strings with an attitude, of "What the heck?" For that money they had to be worth a try.
Well they exceeded expectations by a long way.
Ok, I'm sure if someone carried out extensive tests in a lab, they may find some small variations from the makes that are 3 or 4 times the cost, but in a real world situation, you'd be hard pushed to notice a difference.
They're pretty long lasting, good sounding and good quality. For the price you can't go wrong.
So you can either be fooled by the advertising, and pretty packaging, and buy the "premium brands" for 4 times the price, or buy these and eventually save yourself enough money to buy another guitar, and we're all always looking to do that :-)
Don't just take my word for it, do yourself a favour and give a few sets a go, you won't regret it!
Good value for money, great sound
As with all Harley Benton strings, they are more than worth the money, they feel nice, sound fine and will last as long as your sweat will let them, and you shouldnt run in to tuning issues as long as you stretch your strings - like you should with any new strings. So over all, yes, they work, so buy them and get playing !
