Excellent value

What can I say? These strings represent excellent value for good quality. There isn't anything remotely close to them for price to quality ratio. So not top end strings, but far from worse; and its simply not possible to find anything else on the market in this price bracket. Bit of a no-brainer really.

Harley Benton strings

This is a low budget string you can keep as a spare in your guitar case. Not my first choice.

Questionable.

These strings looked like something you could use while just screwing around at the rehearsal space and since they were really cheap, I thought I'd just get a couple of packs and change them often.

Turned out they scrape at the lower strings, the higher strings tend to snap quite easily and the feel was just not that great I'm afraid.

I used 3 packs and threw the rest in a drawer and they have remained there since.

I would never buy these again

these strings feel awful. So cheap and nasty. Yes, they are dirt cheap... buy I would not put these on any guitar I own. I thought all electric strings were the same, until I played these. Yuk!!! The only Harley Benton product I've bought that I would't recommend.

stringing me along

amazing value. ive bought these before I got them initially just because i was doing up a couple of cheap guitars to re sell at a profit and thought these will do but actually now I put them on my own good guitars (les paul, strat, tele and SG) I really cant tell the difference between these at a quid a box and ernie ball at 5 or 5 times that much

...go buy them!

People's Guitar Strings

The first time I tried these I was rather sceptic about the quality, but after trying them on some of my guitars and having them endure nicely for some months while retaining brightness and tone, I have to say these are some of the best strings on the market and by far the top ones as far as the Quality/Price Ratio goes.

The fact they come in separate sealed bags is definitely a plus!

Cheap and ok

Nothing spectacular but works well. Currently on an Epi G-400 which feels ok and plays well. Works well with the stock humbuckers.

Not the best

For the low price this strings are great.

Some of them have a rusty feeling sometimes, but with some conditioning products you can make them playable again.

The sound is not as brilliant as D'Addario strings, but they sound bright enough for all types of music.

Decent strings

These strings are perfect to replace broken strings or just as a backup. I always have some in my gigbag because you never know...

The Harley Benton strings sound okay. Because I use them as backup they don't stay on the guitar a long time so I can't say how the durability is. Long enough for me!

Good value indeed

I ALWAYS stock these strings and use them as standard strings on my guitars that are tuned in standard. I almost only use big name brand strings when I need heavier gauges. I do feel like big name brand strings sound a little better when they are new (especially when sliding up or down the frets) but once the strings are worn in they sound great!

I went back to ernie balls

I didn´t like those strings.

The sound was okay, maybe a little less bright than ernie balls or d´addarios, but not dramatically.

The Harley Bentons didn´t last long at all. My hands are pretty sweaty, so I have to change the strings often anyway, but the value strings were even faster rusty than the ones from other manufacturers.

But the biggest problem for me was the feeling. Those just feel different than more expensive strings. It´s hard to describe, but I would say they are kind of sticky.

If you can afford it, get more expensive strings.

not good

bad feel, bad sound. didn't last a gig. Sound was horrendous. I really didn't think there would be much of a differences but they are just really not worth it if you want to keep your tone.

You won't get better strings for that price!

A pack of strings which costs as much as one single string of a well known company?

I gave it a try since I wanted to have some backups if one of my strings break while playing. So I don't need to open a new 6€ pack and can use the cheaper strings until the next complete overhaul. And I must say: For this price, those strings are great and they definitely do their job! I would not use them as a set for overhaul since the sound is not as great as if you use other, more expansive strings. But for a quick repair: Yeah, those are definitely the right choice. A also borrowed my friend one when his A-string broke during rehearsal and he also said they aren't that bad.

steady quality?

People discuss a lot about the sound of strings. I don't do that!

I bought them because they are cheap and I don't notice a problem soundwise.

BUT there might be a quality problem. Sometimes I get the feeling that I can see sparkles on my fingers after playing these strings. I didn't had this problem with another pack of them. It seems that they dissolve while playing.

Regarding the price I would buy them again.

Decent

Basic strings for my back up.

Only bought these because they were on sale but I'm not disappointed.

strings

if you play a lot, it´s good, because, you can change the strings everyweek without spending a lot of money.

budget strings

Eventhough these strings are the same gauge as other brands, they feel thicker and a bit more rough. The price is hard to beat but I'd rather spend a little more for a higher quality.

Strings

Okay first off you will be freaked out that when you first open a packet of these strings you will find that unlike most other make of strings they dont unwind themselves. They stay coiled up very stiff. very stiff indeed. Which is a little harder than usual to string up.

But having said that i have bought 5 sets and never snapped a string, on replaced as the sound quality dies off quicker than most.

I would advise you buy these as an extremely cheap alternative to replacement string IE in the middle of a gig. BOOM!

Absolute bargain.

I use these 10`s on some electric guitars and harley benton 9`s on others. Harley benton on my classical. Harley bentons on my bass, mandolin, acoustic guitars, and I mix and match harley benton strings for my banjo too. I guess you could say I`m a fan.

Initially I bought these strings as backup. Only for these strings at this price, i could never afford to keep all my instruments with strings. Its the difference of spending over 100 euro or a tenner. You can`t beat that! They sound as good as any brand name strings, and last longer than most. great product. buy a bunch of them. you won`t regret it.

Good for the price!

Incredibly cheap, and will make music. Only tried one set, but could find nothing wrong with it. Money well spent, but I´d rather spend my time with more inspiring strings.
