Wow

A full set of guitar strings for 79pence.

Ideal for the gigging musician who likes to change their strings before every gig

I use these & so do a few of my friends & they sound & feel great

Well worth a try.

Does the job

I sweat a lot when I play and burn through strings quite quickly (even fancy coated ones). These are cheap enough to not worry about lasting a while but decent enough to stay in tune and sound fine.

Amazing for the price

I ordered these just because their price was incredible and was pleasantly surprised. While they aren't quite as vibrant as the Gibson Britewires I use by preference, the difference is relatively small and if you gig a lot and change your strings regularly, they are a godsend

They don't seem to break any easier and hold their tune well, and did I mention the price!!!

Crazy Cheap, Excellent Quality

I must admit I get through a lot of strings, and I bought these mainly to see whether they would be good enough for doing set-ups on other people's guitars, before replacing them with 'something decent'.

Previously I've tended to use ones from a company in the UK which come in at £3 a pack, and been very happy, but there was no way these were going to be as good, let's face it?

So, without sounding like a dodgy advert, imagine my surprise when I put them on and not only did they sound great - and I don't mean great-for-the-price, I mean great at any price - but they feel wonderful.

So basically, forget about customers' guitars, these are what I'm putting on my own from now on. Excellent.

Good value for money

They're good strings, excellent for practice. Great value for money.

Not as bad as you'd think

These strings - while not quite at the level of Ernie Ball Slinky Strings and the like - represent great value for money and a decent sound.

At 87p (at the time of purchase but now, at the time of writing up to £1.07), one could change strings every week for less than changing brand-name strings every month.

If you are strapped for cash, storing a guitar, or just really really cheap like me ;) then these are perfect for you.

Great value strings

An incredibly low price for some tough and versatile strings. Haven't been on my guitar long enough to say how long lasting they might last yet, but they can withstand string bending for solos and none have snapped.

these do the job

I've been playing long enough and had a fair amount of guitars, over the years I've tried all the brands.

No problems with these, they stay in tune and sound good, I've not had any breakages yet, so at this price I'll happily bulk buy with every order.

Well made and good sounding strings

I use this strings for about 2 or three years and I'm really really happy with them. I buy them always

They're sounding good and are really cheap, so I've got always backups at home.

I think they're not last as long as elexir, but you can buy 10 packages of them for only one elixir. ;)

I think they sound identical (or nearly better) than Ernie Balls, Rotosound etc. and cost about 1 / 5 of them, thats why I think it's okay.

I highly recommend those strings, especially for the price. You can't make anything wrong with them. :)

Cheap

Not a massive fan of these strings. They are very cheap so fine if you putting them on to mess around with your guitar ie experimenting with pickup changes or trying out different string gauges but they don't last particularly long, and feel a bit icky!

Great Value!

If you paid double the price for these strings, you would still have a bargain. Not the best in the world, but the do a great job, sound ok and for the price... stay in tune. Almost worth changing strings on guiar every week. Recommened.

Cheap Backup Strings

These make the perfect strings to use as a backup or cheap replacement set, little to no difference between these and high end strings for me, jamming & practising will be done using these strings and probably more "pro" strings for recording, however we will see how these do!!

sad....

I do hate to write a bad review, but sometimes it has to be done. I got these to have as a backup set when I was a it broke one month. But these are so terrible, I broke a string in rehearsal, but one of these on, and it felt older, and duller than the older ones. I put the whole set on the following day, and the day after cut them off and threw them away. It was a total waste of money. I wouldn't even consider it, unless you had a rusty old guitar to sell on the flea market and you didn't want to invest.

Good value for money

Let me be clear: the strings are not as good as the well known brand strings. You get what you pay for. The best feature of these strings is probably, that they are packaged separately, which makes them the perfect replacement strings if one of your more expensive strings snaps, which saves you some money by not having to restring all strings but just replacing a single one without being left with 5 new, but unsealed strings.

For this reason I always keep a pack or two of Harley Benton Value Strings around in addition to my "regular" brand of strings.

Very good value strings and I've no complaints about sound and have had zero breakages so far (more than I can say for some other MAJOR string brands!) stupidly cheap! Buy a bunch together and you'll be set for months!

Packaging isn't as nice as other brands, though this is FAR from a deal breaker for me!

I'm using these to create light top / heavy bottom hybrid sets using the other HB sets, so I use the bottom 3 of the 10's along with the top 3 of the 9's, and the top set of the 10's alng with the bottom set of the 11's.

good value strings

I change the strings on my guitars approx all two month. I cant see any big difference between the Harley Benton Valuesstrings and much more expensive strings I used before. Sound is good and I can change the strings two times for the money I spent for other strings.

They work

If you are using these strings for a long time, you will end up forgetting what the more expensive strings sound like, and might start to believe that these strings sound really good, but in comparison to something like slinky's, its easy to see where the quality goes.

But that's not to say don't buy them. If you are like me and do about 400 gigs a year, and want to save money on strings then this is a fantastic way to do it! They aren't terrible. It just sounds like a dead string from about 30 minutes into putting them on your guitar.

If you want to save money, buy these strings. If you want to sound your best for a recording or an important gig, get something else for that.

Great value

Yes, I admit that they dont sound as great as exoensive strings, neither are they as long-lived. But they sound nice enough, and the price makes it possible tho change them as often as you want.

Great Strings

These strings cannot be beaten for the price. They are as good as brands that cost much more. These are perfect if you need to change your strings frequently as I do

Nay

Not that good. If you want to be able to tune your guitar, buy another brand. These are really cheap, and I think the quality is too. So, IMO you should buy from a major brand.
