Workhorse

What can I say that hasn't been said before? This mic has been the industry standard since 1965. I use it mainly for snare and guitar cabs, but it's also great on toms and vocals. If you record drums or electric guitar you need this mic.

Standard for a reason

I can see that this mic is the standard in the industry for a reason.

No words needed

I think my feedback is absolutely unnecessary, but I?ll say it again: best microphone in history to record guitars, snares etc!!

It's a 57. What else?

Workhorse! It's just bloody everywhere and i never seen a broken one in my 25+ years on the road. I am pretty sure that they have been used as (***) toys on various occasions as well . And the next day back on stage again...

Reliable microphone

I bought the first sm57 for a guitar amp. Sounded naturally compared to other tested microphones. Later bought them more. I use them for guitar, saxophone, and drums. Never disappointed.

There's a reason it's so widely used.

I can't say much that isn't already written on the internet about this mic. It's pretty versatile so it can be integrated into most setups. I've tried it on several different instruments and the quality varies sometimes with very deep orchestral instruments but overall I'd definitely recommend it.

Versatile, Well Built, 1st Mic

My 1st microphone I've ever purchased.

Use it to record drums, some vocals, guitar, sometimes bass.

Love the versatile, all round nature of the microphone.

Excellent choice for 1st microphone!

Good old classic mic

There is not much to be said about this mic that hasn't been said already.

Easy to use, robust, sounds good.

For people just starting to record this should be the best mic to buy because it sounds good on all the instruments and even vocals and is the cheapest industry standard mics you have.

Even if you decide you don't need it later, you can easily sell it for the similar price that got it.

Excellent sound and quality build

I've been delighted with this product. I use it in front of either a guitar amp or bass amp, and it gives great results. Haven't tried recording from it yet (soon hopefully), but definitely pleased with it when using it for live music. Good value for money!

Great mic

Great mic for the price. I use It mostly on cajon as front mic sometimes as back mic aswell. Used it for congas and a classical guitar few times and it worked as it should. Good reliable mic, even used it for vocals rarely as backup mic when we ended up having unexpected singers on stage.

Shure SM57 best for snare

legendary dynamic mic for snare

Great product.

Perfect for miking an amp.

Its metal housing feels really robust. The only downside is the plastic part at the top. If that was made out of metal, this mic would be indestructible.
